CHRISTMAS. Halfway through November, and all the Christmas decorations are starting to make an appearance…

It’s insane how fast time is flying by. A blink of an eye and we are nearing the end of 2024. It feels like just yesterday I was putting up the Christmas tree in 2023 and going Christmas carolling and spending time with family and friends.
Today, I spontaneously went shopping and voila, the whole mall was filled with the Christmas spirit. Pumpkins, skeletons, and ghosts were long gone and replaced by reindeers, baubles, and wreaths. Santa welcomed me with a big smile into most stores and introduced me to beautifully decorated Christmas trees and bright lights. Christmas jingles danced across my cheeks and into my ear while echoing throughout the mall.
The shelves were urging me to buy the various toys, baubles, and figures which would only add to my numerous collections sitting in the garage at home waiting eagerly to be unpacked. People’s trolleys were packed to the brim with Christmas ornaments, goodies, and gifts. Window shopping now definitely would not be boring as the most premium Christmas items were displayed to attract shoppers like me. It took whatever little self-control I had to not buy everything that caught my eye which was about 90% of the store.
I have yet to put up my Christmas tree, lights, and decorations at home. This is a major conversation topic at work and surprisingly a lot of colleagues are starting to bring out their Christmas spirits. The employees are swapping out their plain workwear to bright Christmas themed shirts and costumes which always bring a smile to everyone’s faces. Competitions to determine the best team with the grandest decorating skills are well on the way.
Planning for Christmas is always fun. I aim for it to be filled with games, laughter, family, friends, and happiness.
This definitely is not the last Christmas related post.
Written with sincerity,
Me.
